Stand Up and Jig….

About two years ago I bought walleye stand up jigs with blades. I bought them online. I never saved the site nor the packages they were sent with. They are similar to blakemore roadrunner jigs but these are stand up jigs. I’ve been all over the internet but have not been able to find them. Would you have a list of walleye jig manufactures that produce stand up jigs with blades?

What you were using were standard spinner Stand-Up Walleye jigs., probably from T.J.’s Tackle. You can find them at http://www.tjstackle.com/StandUpBlade.htm. There is also a model called the Redtail Long Shank Flasher, from Reelbait, that is a stand-up jig with a willow blade spinner These are sold through Cabela’s at . http://www.cabelas.com/catalog/browse/fishing-fishing-jigs-rigs-roundhead-specialty. Another model available through Cabela’s is the Sworming Hornet Swingblade Flutter. They are all variations on the same theme. Basically, they are a standard flat-bottomed stand-up walleye jig, with a willow leaf blade attached to the bottom form more flash and movement. These can be tipped with live baits, or plastic tails.

You can also check online for Jann’s Netcraft. They carry a large assortment of jig molds, and I would be really surprised if they didn’t have one of these. Jig-making is not that hard to get into, and is economical if you go through a lot of jigs, or need custom styles.

Happy Fishing.
