What is the best way to catch walleye in Lake Milacs?

The best way to catch walleye in Lake Milacs is with a jig and a minnow. The spring season is busy and you can offer a smaller minnow. The summer months you offer a larger minnow, but in fall, you need to offer a large minnow. You can use a bottom bouncer, but you do have to make sure that the bait does not drag on the bottom. You want to find the area of the lake where the walleye are known to lurk in wait of food. This can be done by finding the underwater structures that are home to walleye. Catching walleye from a boat is the only way. There is no way to effectively catch walleye from the shore since they are in the deeper waters. Even spawning will take place away from sure. If you are looking for a big school of walleyes, the month of May when the Mayflies are covering the water is the perfect time. The only problem is that the flies will drive you crazy. If you go about ten to twenty feet away form the area, you can catch some walleye as they are coming in for feeding. If the winds are strong on the lake, you can drift and fish, but you have to remember to keep the boat at a slow drift and not a fast drift. You might need a little help keeping the boat to a crawl. Other than that, you can fish this lake and have some good catches.
