How can I improve my walleye pike fishing?

Well you should make sure you have the correct tackle for the fish first off. Without that the fish will not be attracted to your lure. Plus you will need to make sure you’re fishing in the correct location of where the fish like to stay at. First off with the walleye get a rod that is 6 �’ to 7′, preferably one that is medium action and made out of graphite. Get jigs in different weights and sizes. It will depend on what depth of water you’re fishing in for the weight of jig that will work out the best. Colors are great too, but what are best to attract a walleye will be red, blue, silver, perch, and chartreuse. Walleye love the deeper water normally, but they can also be found in other areas. Check out those waters that are shallow and have rock formations, or weed beds. The walleyes will hang out around these areas when feeding. Looking at some tips for pike fishing now, you will need wire traces to fish for pike. This is because the pike are notorious for biting through lines. In general, you should use 15 pound line and have a trace wire that is at least 30 pound or up. Get hooks that are either double or treble. Get some floats or those indicators that will show when you have a bit. A rod to fish pike with should be tested to have at least a curve of 2.5 pounds. You need to also buy a landing net, and depending on whether you have a triangle shaped net or a round frame you will need anywhere from 30 to 36 inches of arm. Get two pairs of forceps to unhook your pike. With bait for pike you can either get some live bait, or dead bait. Get a fish that is less than 8″ of any kind they will attract those pike. At times, pike will like the dead bait more. Pick any kind of fish, from salt to fresh water.
