Where do walleye’s spawn? If you could where do they spawn near Cookeville, TN?

Walleye spawn in the shallow waters of lakes, rivers and streams. In Cookeville, TN, you can find walleye spawning in Dale Hollow Lake and in Cordell Hull Lake during the months of May. The best time to fish these lakes for walleye is during March, April and May. Anywhere around weed beds and deadwood are god places to start fishing during the spawning season. In Dale Hollow, you will find the walleye in the east and west branches of the lake. During spawning, look for the walleye to be in some of the streams that branch off of Dale Hollow. Although many anglers have some luck by the dam, it is always best to see what the current year is bringing for spawning. Dale Hollow can change from year to year and no one will know for sure where they will head to next. The walleye in this lake will spawn in the lake if the conditions are right. Cordell Hull Lake is one place you catch walleye during the spawn as well. Fish the upper end of the lake near the shallow waters. The walleye will spawn and stay around the area for a while before heading out deeper. Every year, you have to check the fishing report to see where the walleye are located. These areas change so much that it is hard to predict or be precise as to where the walleye will be. The local anglers have more information and they will be the ones you want to watch.
