Is June A Good Month To Fish For Walleye?

i would like to know if the first week in june is good fishing for walleye? tony

June can be a good month to go fishing for walleye; however, it is very important to be aware of some of the many essential summer fishing tactics. It is important to remember that it can be a little tougher to fish for walleye during the summer months, but it is still possible to catch some good fish. When you are going fishing for walleye during the summer months it is very important to be willing to try a vast array of tactics, as what works during the other months may not work during the summer. One of the best tips for walleye fishing during the summer months is to do some research into the most popular places for this type of fishing. When the weather gets warmer the walleye tend to move into the deeper waters, as the temperature will be cooler. In order to be able to fish the deeper waters, you will need to go further away from the shore. It is a good idea to use some bait that creates a bit of an underwater structure, as this will attract more fish. Some of the best baits to try whilst fishing for walleye during the summer months are the bottom bouncers. These could be used in conjunction with a rig such as the spinner crawler. The crank baits may also prove to be very useful whilst walleye fishing during the summer months; however, these will only work if the fish are at least twenty feet or less below the surface of the water. If the fish are deeper than twenty feet below the surface of the water, it may be helpful to use a rig such as the drop shot type or a bottom bouncer. In some circumstances live bait such as worms, leeches and minnows may work perfectly, and they will work at almost any depth. However, it is very important to be willing to try different things.
