Walleye Fishing In Nebraska: Where To Go, And What Works

If you pay close attention to the habits that the walleye has, then you definitely will walk away from your fishing trip with more than one or two fish.

You can fish for the walleye all year long in Nebraska as well.  This can increase the love for this area as the avid fisherman will get hooked to the pristine waters of these clean streams, lakes and rivers. There are certain patterns and ways to fish for the walleye dependant on the time of year in which you are fishing for the walleye.  If you are looking to fill your fry pan and your freezer with a walleye or two in the winter, then not only will you want to use live bait, but you will additionally want to start in shallow waters in the early morning and move slowly as the day progresses.  You will want to move your rod slowly and lazily to attract the walleye. In the fall, you will want to fish in medium depth water to shallow.  As the day progresses, be sure to move to shallow water.  In the spring, you will want to fish in the shallows as the walleye will hang out here to spawn. In the summer, you will want to fish in the mornings in the shallow water and move deeper as the sun gets warmer.
