We are going to Colorado, where are the best spots for walleye? Any tips we should know?

There are several great spots in Colorado for Walleye fishing. Pueblo Reservoir is just West of Pueblo Colorado and it is a great spot for Walleye. In the past there has been some off years though. Things do seem to be picking up recently though. One piece of advice – try to fish this location during the week if you can. It is a very populated area for the boaters on the weekend. They come from all over the area for a weekend of fishing and you want to avoid the crowds as much as possible.

Another great spot is John Martin Reservoir. It is about 75 miles East of the other reservoir and a straight shot on highway 50. There is also less people that come to this area. However, you will find that some days are great and others aren’t for Walleye fishing here! You can check the fishing reports online and see what the results have been before you plan your trip though.
