Walleye Fishing Camps

When you are looking at outfitter camps or walleye fishing camps, you need to find out if they are a catch and release or a catch and keep. If you want to keep your fish that you catch, you want to find a camp that does not operate with a catch and release program only. It seems like Canada has many outfitters that operate on a catch and release. The walleye camps are great because, if you have a nice catch and want to taste it, they have grills and in some cases, they have someone that will prepare the meal for you and the rest of your group.

The camps are set up for groups. It may be possible for single outings, but it is very rare. The group size will depend on what the outfitter has a minimum and maximum group size. You can easily spend a thousand dollars for a walleye fishing camp, but it is worth it for the time you are there and you will catch a walleye or two. They do have some trophy walleye up in the Canada area. The guides know what to do and where to go. They have made a life and business out of fishing the Canadian Lakes.
