Manitoba Walleye Fishing

Don’t rule out Manitoba walleye fishing from Big Sand Lake, either, a resort about 525 miles north of Winnipeg. The lake stretches for 70 miles and is over 60,000 acres large. Here, the walleye are a typical 3-4 pounds and, while not trophy sized, are plentiful. Because the lodge is the only inhabited location on the lake, you’ll truly be remote from the world and in a position to relax in the hands of nature with no outside factors affecting your fishing. On top of all that, the resort has a bar and lounge, entertainment room, Jacuzzi, sauna, conference room, and cabins with wood burning fireplaces, 2 queen sized beds, full bathroom, and electric heat. You also have an option to fly out to an even more remote Manitoba walleye fishing location for a day from here.

Obviously, there is no shortage of great Manitoba walleye fishing locations. Almost every lake in the province has walleye fishing options, and most have some sort of resort to visit. Simply make your choice regarding the lodge and resort you desire, considering just how remote you wish to be from the “civilized” world, and book your vacation today for one of the greatest fishing experiences you’ll ever have.
