Is there a better way to attach my lure than using a knot?

I actually prefer to use either a crosslock or a duo-lock snap to attach my lures.  I have found that the snap is much easier to use and tends to allow the lure to move a little more freely than a knot.  It also makes it much easier and quicker to change lures without having to retie them.  When fishing for the fickle Walleye, I switch up a lot when I’m trying to figure out what is working best on any given day and these snaps save me a lot time.  If you’re fishing in areas that are overrun with weeds, however, you’re probably better off with the crosslock than the duolock because the crosslock doesn’t have any parts that stick out and has less of a tendency to get hung up.  When using a snap lock, it’s important that you choose one that is big enough for your lure without interfering with the movement of the bait.  The snaps are fairly inexpensive and you can purchase a 12 pack for under $3.00 at most bait and tackle shops.  If you haven’t ever used them, I’d highly suggest giving it a try.
