I’ve tried catching walleye in Lake Eerie, but I can’t even get a bite. Everyone else does just fine. What am I doing wrong?

If you are having no luck catching walleye on Lake Erie, you need to think about, what location you are in, the type of bait you are using and the time when you go fishing. Lake Erie is one of the top places to fish the walleye. If you are not even having a bite, this is very strange. You need to use the right bait for one thing. A jig with a minnow works well for walleye fishing. Fish in locations that are known hot spots for walleyes. Watch the weather and the water temperature before going fishing. Are you fishing in a boat or on shore? If you are in a boat, is your motor faulty? If your motor is faulty, it can scare the fish away. What depth of water are you fishing in? Before a proper answer can be given, you would have to supply some information that can be analyzed to see what the problem might be. One could not say for sure what you are doing wrong without knowing what you are doing to begin with. Are you jerky on the line? Do you cast and allow bait to drop or do you keep it moving?
