I need a vacation. Are there any recommendations for walleye fishing in the northeast?

I need a vacation! I’m looking at booking a walleye fishing resort in the northeast with some buddies. Any recommendations?

If you need a vacation and want to do some walleye fishing in the northeast, Arkansas comes to mind. The Greer Ferry Lake has the best reputation for walleye fishing. However, some of the rivers have some good fishing as well. The Spring and Current Rivers have topped the charts for some great walleye fishing. Randolph County is the best area to fish these rivers. Of course, locals who want to catch walleye pick the Eleven River. The anglers in the area use crankbaits with a minnow or a jig with a plastic grub. Not only will you catch a walleye, you might even get a sauger, which also is common in these rivers and attracted to the same bait. If you are looking for somewhere that has good walleye fishing, these places have the reputation for good fishing. You are going to have to find the right places in the water to fish, but you can ask the local bait shop for a fishing report. Spring is a good time to fish for walleye, but so is summer and fall. You are going to want a boat for these areas, so you can get around to the good fishing areas. The best time for fishing is early mornings and right before dark. Take along different types of baits, because some days might be better for one type of bait while the next day might need a different type of bait. Go prepared and you are going to catch a walleye or two.
