Ontario Walleye Fishing

One fly in Ontario walleye fishing location to consider is the Booi’s Fly-in Lodge and Outposts. The lodge is on an island twenty minutes north of Red Lake, Ontario by air and can offer secluded, prime walleye fishing for the avid angler. Green’s Fly In Camps and Airways also hosts cabins off Red Lake, which is a great place to find walleye pretty much year round. Browns’ Clearwater West Lodge offers both solutions: you can stay at the main resort and be catered to, or you can fly out to the outpost lakes run by the same resort for a little more solitude. Smaller specimens are in large supply at the Canoe Frontier Expeditions sites, located on and near Pickle Lake.

Ear Falls offers two different resorts, the Lac Seul’s Scout Resort, McKenzie Bay & Confederation Lake Outposts, as well as the Wenasaga Lodge. Fast moving water at this location breeds great Ontario walleye fishing specimens that range in size typically from 2-5 pounds, with trophies caught consistently throughout the season.

The list of excellent Ontario walleye fishing locations goes on and on, and you could spend all day researching the various options you have. However, the best thing to do is determine if you prefer a star-rated resort to cater to your every whim during your vacation or if you prefer to be left entirely to your own resources. Everyone has a different idea of what a vacation means. What is your preference? Ontario has something for everyone to try.
