Lake Michigan
Lake Michigan is also at the top of the list when it comes to walleye
fishing.
Being the sixth largest lake located in the world it’s no
wonder it is such a great fishing location. This lake is 307 miles long
and 118 miles wide. Its surface covers over 22,000 square miles and is
580 feet above sea level. It is certainly an amazing lake with many
wonderful opportunities that you don’t want to miss.
Lake Michigan has many natural structures that allow the walleye to
grow to some pretty healthy sizes. Look for them around the mouths of
the smaller rivers in the early spring and fish the shallow water in
the early morning and late evenings for the best results. Plastic
worms, jigs, spoons and crawler harnesses work very well in this lake.
If you have never been walleye fishing in any of these lakes before,
you should make plans to give it a try. Many anglers have already
experienced all the opportunities these lakes provide and you should
to. If you really love fishing for walleye it would be a shame to miss
out on the action these lakes provide.
Not only will you have a chance to do some of the best walleye fishing
you have ever enjoyed, but you will be surrounded by so much beauty and
wildlife that it will be an adventure that you will never forget.
