Do you have a recommended guide service to use on the Illinois River?

I’m going to try and catch walleye in the Illinois river – do you have a recommended guide service to use?

The one guide service that comes to mind for the Illinois River is Cajun Guide Service in Utica. The guide that owns the service has over twenty years of experience fishing the Illinois River for walleye. They called him Buster and he is a fun guide to go with and catch some nice sized walleye. He can take you to all the hot spots on the river. He has a pretty nice set up and has a good reputation for taking people out and bringing back the fish. The other one I know about, but do not have a lot of information about is Don’s Guide Service. He takes you on the Illinois River fishing for walleye. He is located out of Byron on Nordic Woods Road. There are a few other guides, but the majority of them I think fish other areas of Illinois such as the Mississippi River. I do know of another called Geno’s River Guide Service out of Illinois, but I have no information about this service. The guide services are a great way to fish for walleye, but you can also find some areas on the Illinois River where you can fish yourself. It will all depend on the time of year you plan to fish. It seems that the walleye move around that river to different areas every time you turn around. However, the fishing is considered really good on the Illinois River if you find the right place. You might also try contacting the local bait shops to see if any new services have surfaced.
