I fish a lot of walleyes out of Milles Lacs it like sun fishing but now with gas prices we been stayin round home in Monticello. I live a block from the mighty Mississippi. Dan- hi there! I live in Columbus, Ohio and want to get to a nice place, probably fly-in, where I can rent a cabin and boatw/ outboard for a week or so. I want to be as small a drive as possible. I’m thinking Ontario through Detroit for a route. I want to bring fish back home for the freezer. Probably guided at least for a few days. Schedule would be 2-3 wks from now. Suggestions? where are walleye and do they eat

Like to fish under lights at night for Walleye, the lights bring the shad in and they begin to circle the light, Walleye will at times swim with them and other times stay outside the circle and pick them off. What would be a good lure to cast outside the circle of shad to catch them with?
